You and Sarina will discuss any issues that you and/or your loved one are currently looking to work on. You can also take this opportunity to ask any additional questions in regards to the therapeutic process and our practice in general. By the end of the consultation, you and Sarina will have next steps put in place.

How long is each session & how often do I come to therapy?

Each session is equal to one clinical hour, or 45-50 minutes. This leaves approximately 5 minutes for your clinician to complete notes for one session and 5 minutes to prepare for the next.

Treatment duration is specific to each individual client’s needs, though typically it is advised to begin with once per week for at least 8 weeks. Some clients feel they would prefer to meet twice weekly, while others choose to titrate down from once per week to once every other week. We will discuss what is best for you.

What are your fees?

We are out-of-network with all insurance providers. Each 50-minute individual therapy session is $160, with a family and couples rate of $175. A credit card must be securely stored on file in order to begin our work together, however we do accept cash, check and alternative credit cards than the one stored at time of service.

Does what we talk about in therapy remain confidential?

Does what we talk about in therapy remain confidential?

Confidentiality is one of the most important components between a client and therapist. You will receive a form ahead of our first meeting called “Informed Consent,” which is a confidential disclosure agreement stating that what we discuss in session is never shared with anyone. The only limitation to this is in regards to safety; Licensed Professional Counselors are all mandated reporters, meaning if you express intent to harm yourself or others, your therapist is required by law to report it to appropriate authorities and in the case of children, to parents/guardians.
